There is nothing more representative of banking fraud then the fees on a debit card. A debit card in Australia will result in a declined transaction if there are not enough funds to cover the purchase. The bank rewards those customers that do not want to use credit, no money, no purchase. You can of course enroll in overdraft protection but it is at the request of the customer.
